| The Chris Klich Jazz Quintet was also nominated for three straight years for the San Diego Music Awards, in 2001, 2002, and 2003. The band placed second in the category of "best jazz band," behind Gilbert Castellanos in 2001 and 2002, and Jaime Valle in 2003.
